The Denton Juneteenth Committee is putting on its annual Juneteenth Celebration at Fred Moore Park on Friday, June 16th thru Saturday, June 17th. There will be plenty of food, music, games, entertainment, a parade, and an event honoring hometown heroes. This event is for the entire family. We are looking for volunteers from the community to help with our booths, games, stage performers etc. Please review the available slots on this Sign-Up Genius!

Volunteer Descriptions:
Children’s Activities on Sat. 6/17: Be sure youth’s ages/sizes are realized to avoid injury to smaller youth. Ake sure bounce house is secured/anchored. Manage supervision of youth in bounce house and time limit of youth utilization based on line. Make sure bounce houses, especially water-slide) is clean and properly maintained.
Stage Hand Duties:
Volunteers will assist with set-up/clean-up of stage; assist artists if needed; assist with smooth transition of artists from one session to the next. (Events include DJ, DJ Contest, Live Concert)
Runner Duties:
A runner acts assists in fulfilling the needs of the production department and most commonly includes running errands under the direction of the venue or tour production manager. Delivering food/water/snacks to artists, and sound technicians.
First Aid Center Duties:
Prefer CPR/FA certified volunteers to oversee booth to assist with minor issues such as scrapes and bruises, overheating, provide sunscreen, bug spray, band-aids, etc. when needed. Be willing to offer CPR if needed. Be able to contact emergency personnel if needed by calling 9-1-1 or locating on-site first responder.
Vendors: 9am-11am
2 Volunteers to assist with checking vendors in and assisting with proper location
Home Heroes Reception:
12:30 pm -3:30 pm 4 volunteers are needed to assist with set-up, serving guests, clean up, and offer presentations.
